Do I Have To Pay Money Given To My By My Ex Now That He Has Gone Bankrupt?

I was recently given some money by my ex who had borrowed from me a couple of years back. He has just gone bankrupt and now he is saying I have to pay the money he gave me back to his bankruptcy. How can this be?
